Course on Friend Activities

The Course on friend activities is a three-hour course, after which the volunteer can participate in almost any kind of Friend Activity. After the course, volunteers can be advised to take an advanced course (6h) and / or other courses tailored to the target group (so far only in Finnish and Swedish).

The course aims to:

• Familiarize the participants with Red Cross friend activities and motivate them to join in
• Prepare the participants to act as a volunteer friend
• Give the participants the qualification to participate in Red Cross friend activities and participate in the advanced courses of Red Cross friend activities

Training materials for trainers (e.g. ready-made PowerPoint presentations and trainer guides) are available in the resource bank.

Access to trainer materials is limited to volunteer trainers who have completed the Red Cross trainer training. New trainers receive access to the resource bank and materials for their specific training line upon registering for the trainer training.
